TMNT AU - The Science Project - Chapter 10When we arrived at the skate park, Don, Raph, and I stood out like sore thumbs. Everyone in that setting was a replica of Mike, which wasn’t at all a bad thing. Everyone that crossed our paths treated us like we belonged; some even told us to come around again sometime. It was almost the exact opposite of when they had come to my game, where many believed they were unwelcome. This environment Mike surrounds himself by is clearly where he gets his positive attitude.TMNT AU - The Science Project - Chapter 10 by ririmania1335
Mike introduced us to some of his skateboarding friends, who all shared Mike’s core characteristics. His overexcited, fun loving, and overall compassionate personality flourished at the skate park. And I thought he was himself when we were at Don’s, but it seems we had barely scraped the surface of all the complexity that goes into Mike’s identity. After mingling had finished, Mike told us to take a seat over with the rest of the audience before he ran off to put on his gear and take his place among t

“We do,” Mike reassured him quickly, before Raph even had time to finish his statement. “What you did for Leo today…that was pretty cool. It’s real cool that you’ll stick up for us.” He finished.
Raph’s face turned to a light crimson color, “It’s what friends do, I guess” I guessed he was not used to having nice things said about him.
“It was still cool,” Don grinned in agreement. Small conversation continued as we sat in my room. Don caught Raph up on the progress made with the project, of which Raph understood very little. Heck, I had helped with the project and I didn’t know what Don was saying.
After a long while, Mike and Don had gone home. Raph and I were sitting alone in my room with little to nothing to talk about.
“Does it hurt,” Raph asked

Leo swung Raph’s bedroom door wide open, letting his slam against the back wall. He stormed into the room and stood over Raph’s bed, where his hot-heated brother lay under the covers staring up at the ceiling. “Where the hell were you at training today!” Leo asked. He continued without leaving Raph any time to answer the question, “Splinter was furious! We all had to do double katas because you didn’t show up.” Leo would have done double himself on his own free will. It was Mikey and Donnie who were not interested in doing more than the usual single kata routine.
Raph glared cynically at Leo, “Go away Leo. I want to be alone!” He argued, keeping his head against the pillow and the blankets around his body. “I don’t feel…right.” He said ambiguously.
“Do you feel sick?” Leo’s hostile mood immediately transferred to concern. “You should go see Donnie. He’ll be able to help you.” He offers. Though a Leo offer is more like a command than a suggestion.
Raph knew he wasn’t sick. He knew exactly why he didn’t feel right. And he knew there was nothing Donnie could do about it. However, if Raph admitted why he wasn’t feeling well, Leo would have surely made fun of him. “I don’t need Donnie. I just need to get some sleep, I’ll be fine later. Honest.”
Curiosity was added to Leo’s list of feelings. Was there something Raph wasn’t telling him? If so, he needed to get to the bottom of it. “Does your stomach hurt?” Leo asked. He thought back on last night’s dinner. “Maybe it was that pizza from last night. It tasted a little weird to me.”
Raph shook his head. ‘The pizza tasted weird because Mikey ordered barbeque sauce instead of tomato sauce.”
Leo cocked his head slightly to the right. Never mind that, he thought, shaking the thought of pizza out of his mind. “Is it your head then?” Leo asked. Perhaps a headache or something of that sort. Raph was infamous for his anger-stimulating migraines.
“No. It’s just a little discomfort.” Raph rusted under the covers. His eyes shot open when he felt a bulge pushing against lower plastron. He quickly picked up his knees to make the eventual bulge in his covers less noticeable.
Okay. That's all I can share. I will be finishing the the story after I finish a commission. Hopefully not too long. My RaphxLeo fans I hope you enjoy this snip-it until I post the real thing.
